Saskatchewan bloggers on the radio today

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

On CKOM.com’s John Gormley Live, the topic was blogs, and how an author from Calgary slammed blogs as being a detriment to political activism. Well Saskatchewan bloggers phoned and corrected that silly notion.

You need to sign up to be a Newstalk Insider to download the podcast of the radio show. It’s from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM that you need to download.

Saskboy of AbandonedStuff.com, Kate from SmallDeadAnimals.com, Wild Doug, Lance of Catprint in the Mash/Saskblogs Aggregator, and several other bloggers from around the province called in, and were mentioned by the callers and John Gormley as recommended reading.

Saskblogs Aggregator one year old in January 2007

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

Written by Saskboy:

I’ve been a member of the Saskblogs Aggregator online community for one year now. Here’s my invitation from Lance, who created the website, in December 2005. (The Aggregator portion of the site went online January 20th 2006 with this post being first.)

Since that time, I bought the saskblogs.ca domain, and set the site up with help from Stephen Glauser. I helped organize two potluck BBQs, one in Regina and the other in Saskatoon, and have met about a dozen bloggers from this grand rectangular prairie province. I’ve even been interviewed/questioned by the Star Phoenix, CBC radio, CKOM’s John Gormley, and Leader Post newspapers about blogging and Saskblogs.
